Jannis Roos has been playing the violin since he was four years old. For many years, he was a junior student at the HfKM Regensburg (Bavarian early education programme for highly gifted string players) in the class of Prof. Conrad von der Goltz. He then studied violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts (HMTM) Munich with Prof. Ingolf Turban.
